The 18 hole course at Hessle Golf Club measures 6,608 yards. All greens are to USGA Standard allowing the course to be played in all weathers. In the late 1990’s the approaches and surrounds of each green and the greenside bunkers were redesigned to make an even more attractive and challenging course.
2007 has seen the addition of two large water features on the course. The Old Wives’ Pit between the fifth and sixth fairways has been converted into a lake that will test golfers with a tendency to slice their tee shots, and a second lake has been formed at the par-3 sixteenth, requiring both length and accuracy from the tee.
The course offers a good test of skills for players of all abilities as many holes require course management, so golfers need to think their way round the course to get a good score.
